Not this folk, but we all have different preferences.

Our bedroom mini-AC goes in only if we anticipate an extended HHH peruiod, exceedingly rare here. I've recorded only one morning low 70 or milder in 15 yr here, July 19, 2005. (Farmington COOP, not in a frost pocket, has recorded 6 during that time, all 70 or 71. They've recorded 34 minima 70+ over their 120 yr of obs.) Even 65+ isn't all that common, 33 times over those 15 yr at my place. Might have a shot at #34 later this week, but odds are against it.

I wish we were like that.  My average summertime maximum low is 58° so it's not always horrible but I should figure out my average number of days with a low above 65 or 70.  Should be interesting.

I feel like I spend most of the summer waiting for late July when climo is at its peak and celebrating it's decline towards winter again.

 that is pure gold FTW

yeah if you live in New Orleans, seeing as you spend the majority of your time in comfortable to cool weather it is more prudent to have a little meat on your bones rather than looking like a skeletor. This of course does not take into account the hundreds of hours you apparently spend in AC. fraction_of_time_spent_in_various_temper

Could you wear an azz band to soak it up? Sort of wrap it around your waist?

So standing outside talking to friends when it's 95/73 is comfortable? I understand you have been bald since age 26 and heat escapes your head..but still...that's not what I would describe as comfortable.

LOL at Kevin trying to pretend he is serious that most people like high dews. Typical hype propaganda from him.

Most of us don't pretend the general population loves blizzards/snow...so you don't need to do the same for high dews and excessive heat.

imagine the most obese states, those folks in Alabama Mississippi and tennessee and parts of georgia without air, they dont move much between june and september.

living inside from June to Sept is not my idea of fun. Of course they can take a dip in 95 degree pools or 85 degree GOM. Houston has to be the worst.

Well there's not much more to say. I just like it hot and humid in summer. It's fun and not boring like yesterday was. You like it your way and ill like it mine

hate to tell you, but yesterday is not summer.   It's still spring for another few weeks....especially in this part of the country....with regard to yesterday, I thought it was awesome-was able to sit at the parade and enjoy it and had some folks over the house for a BBQ...very comfortable.

LOL.  Don't get me wrong, I enjoy some good ol fashioned heat and humidity from time to time...and the occasional winter torch when there's no pack to protect...but to somehow think folks in general like heat and humidity or that the New England region is some sort of home to regular heat and humidity is laughable.

Maybe yesterday was boring in SNE, but it was nearly perfect at my place, despite the frozen dew in the early morning - low 60s, fresh breezes to discourage the few blackflies and to cool me as I lugged next winter's wood into the dooryard.

May to date, locations in CAR/GYX:

CAR...+2.0

BGR...-0.2

PWM...-0.1

CON...+0.8

MBY is 0.0 thru the 27th. Today will be 4-5F below avg thanks to a low of 29, tomorrow should be close to my avg (68/43), and Thurs-Fri will probably have a two-day cumulative around +25, so May should finish 0.6 or 0.7 above.

Most folks like higher dews..not sure what you're getting at

Easily the most ridiculous statement I've seen in a while on here lol.

Most folks like warm nice weather...not humidity. The complaints start flying from old and young once it gets really humid. I know you were just fishing with that comment though cause you couldn't possibly be serious, haha.

Didnt we have a relatively low dewpoint june and early july last year. I vaguely remember powderfreak ranting about 40 degree diurnal spreads for weeks. Then i recall mid july i went to vt, and half way into trip it got muggy

Yeah last July was days of like 89/46...beautiful weather.
