For Those About To Sweat ...We Salute You..Heat and Humidity

Damage In Tolland

Recommended Posts

Once in Florida, I saw someone running in a hoody and sweatpants on a 93/75 afternoon. :yikes:

It sounds weird, but if you're also wearing the moisture-wicking stuff (under armor hot gear is a mainstream type), one can get away with that.  I work a physical job and wear it, also exercise every day.  even on 90/70 days you feel like you're freezing and get the "crazies" commentary   :D  irony

It's a good thing that Canada's done with delivering cold air into the U.S until September:

4 day stretch, the year without a summer marches on.

BOS +15 +20 +18 +15

BDL +14 +16 +15 +14

PVD +13 +16 +13 +12

ORH +13 +17 + 16 +15

I would say fairly impressive heat, may the torch be with you now, and forever.

I honestly hope the Euro doesn't verify. That would completely ruin next weekend. Horrendous solution.

I'm hoping its more just 1 day of nastiness on Friday and then at least decent on the weekend, but right now the guidance isn't very encouraging.

:axe:

FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...THIS IS THE PERIOD TO WATCH FOR THE NEXT
POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT WEATHER. AS DISCUSSED ABOVE...SOME OF THE
MODELS AND ENSEMBLE MEMBERS INDICATE THE POTENTIAL FOR A TROPICAL
CYCLONE NEARING OUR AREA DURING THIS TIME FRAME.
HOWEVER...THERE IS
MUCH UNCERTAINTY AT THIS POINT...ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THAT THE
MOST BULLISH MODELS HAVE THE STORM TAKING A TURN TO THE RIGHT OFF
THE NORTH CAROLINA SHORE...WITH LITTLE IMPACT ON SOUTHERN NEW
ENGLAND OUTSIDE THE COASTAL WATERS AND PERHAPS THE BEACHES. THE
ALTERNATE SOLUTION CURRENTLY IS A NON TROPICAL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
DEVELOPING IN THE APPALACHIANS AND MOVING NEAR TO SOUTHERN NEW
ENGLAND AS A COOL COASTAL STORM. THIS SOLUTION BRINGS SUBSTANTIALLY
COOLER THAN NORMAL TEMPS TO THE REGION ALONG WITH RAIN. WILL BE
KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON THE MODEL TRENDS OVER THE COMING WEEK.
