I have never seen a gate-to-gate signal that bright on a rad in my life!

Yeah maybe some folding there. Really intensified since 7 o'clock. TWC crew w/Mike Bettes took a direct hit while trying to get away from it. Their vehicle was apparently tossed across a highway and into a field and destroyed.

Agree 100%... I cherish tropical summer nights like these!

See I'm the other way...don't mind the hot days if the nights get nice and cool.

This area cools off real nicely in the shadows of the Greens. We hit 90F for a high and as of midnight are down to 63F...while BTV is still in the 70s on the other side of the mountain. We lost over 20 degrees in 3 hours after the sun went down...feels so refreshing to get down into the 50s after a 90 degree day, without those like 68-72F lows of the larger valleys and urban areas.

I also like how it's 69F at 4000ft on Mansfield at midnight...and low 60s down in town. Nice inversion setting up, but it just means tomorrow will likely be quite warm if 875mb is that warm overnight.

Highs at the Pit the last couple days:

Thur-   82.5

Friday-87.9

Today's forecasted in upper 80's.  90's averted?  Perhaps.  Looks like many have been able to say 'meh' over this and avoid a heatwave.  Did I see that even the Rev can't muster 90*?  Must be a real bummer for him that he can't score 90 even in a warm pattern.  :)

In MD now, will be at my 25th Fordham reunion this afternoon.  Looking forward to being back home tonight in hope for some storms tomorrow/nigiht.  Looks reasonably good, I guess.

63.0/60 at the Pit now.

What a torch month.

Yeah that's about dead on normal...what's the usual standard deviation on that stuff? I gotta think anything within +/- 1 or 1.2 is considered "normal" temperatures.

Anyway, up here BTV starting us off below normal all of next week...bunch of nights in the low 40s and the highest max temp is in the low 70s. This is a dream forecast for the first week of June...partly cloudy and 67/43 type days.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers. Highs in the upper 60s. West winds around 10 mph.

Monday Night And Tuesday: Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s. Highs in the mid 60s.

Tuesday Night And Wednesday: Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 40s. Highs in the upper 60s.

Wednesday Night And Thursday: Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 40s. Highs in the lower 70s.

Thursday Night And Friday: Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers. Lows in the lower 50s. Highs in the upper 60s.
