April 17, 1963 Northern IL/IN Tornado

Just got around to reading the PDF from LOT that was done for the 50th anniversary. Lots of stuff in there, including a series of 12 tornado pictures taken in about 15 minutes, numerous damage photos, survey info and personal accounts. Also, there's a model simulation that recreates the conditions in place that afternoon...in short, 0-1 km shear was around 25 kts, 0-6 km shear was around 60 kts, SRH was around 250 and SBCAPE was probably at least a few thousand (there's some uncertainty there), supportive of strong tornadoes.
