brettjrob
Damn we just went thru montague. Doesn't seem like one to fool around with tho. These southern storms are disasters. Driving through Ardmore about 20 minutes ago was the biggest whale's mouth I've ever seen... encompassed about a two-county area. Pretty sure the show's over chase-wise. Sitting on 35 at the RR thinking about just turning around at this point.

Eskimo Joe
Girl on CNN just said their shelter was cracked by the tornado. I dunno exactly what she meant, but holy hell. If it was a Red Cross certified shelter, the structure was designed to withstand 3 continuous minutes of 90mph winds. Clearly the storm was well above that. Hambone
If they can't go underground, why don't these tornado alley schools harden an inside corridor?
NaoPos
This is almost like yesterday. 1st few cells were powerful , dropped impressive tornadoes, and as the evening went out, storms lost organizational aspects. Obviously different outcomes bc of the areas affected.

andyhb
Bulk shear weaker near Red River = HP mess. 50-60 kts is plenty, there is a storm merger occurring right now, although yes these storms are not great for chasing.

My Weather Today
The NSSL WRF, which nailed today basically to the exact locations of the storms, also shows a long-lived supercell north of the Red River (basically going right through the Ardmore area) in Southern OK tomorrow. Well, it appears to be two for two. Long-lived supercell currently shifting through Ardmore area right now.
