andyhb
One of the reasons these storms stayed discrete/quasi-discrete: Incredible 50-75 kts of effective bulk shear. Yeah it was around this strength yesterday with the big cells in OK.
andyhb
Meso directly over Ringgold, hopefully above ground. Large TOG with this cell.
baroclinic_instability
Storm relative helicity is beginning to rapidly increase across much of the area as expected. You can see the low level flow rapidly backing around, especially just SE of Childress.

Ian
We are on the cell south of the red river but the roads are iffy and don't want to get trapped so flanking still.

Thrasher Fan
Streams? Most all Dallas TV stations are simalcasting OKC stations which doesn't seem prudent as they have tornadic cells approaching their viewing area.
baroclinic_instability
Hi-res modeling the past two days has been spectacular. Two days in a row the EMC WRF had the exact location of some of the supercells, including the tail end charlie crawling along the Red River now. NAM 4km and HRRR showed quite a bit of skill as well. NaoPos
As a fellow firefighter, it's disheartening to see this ff's frantically trying to dig through that rubble @ the school. It makes me believe that they think there's still kids under it. I'm hoping not, but the amount of effort I'm seeing from them is suggesting otherwise.
