THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORMAN HAS ISSUED A

 

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...

  SOUTHEASTERN MCCLAIN COUNTY IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA...

  CENTRAL GARVIN COUNTY IN SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA...

  SOUTH CENTRAL POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA...

 

* UNTIL 515 PM CDT

    

* AT 435 PM CDT...WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED A TORNADO 4 MILES WEST OF PAULS

  VALLEY. DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED THIS TORNADO MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH.

 

IN ADDITION TO A TORNADO...LARGE DESTRUCTIVE HAIL UP TO BASEBALL SIZE

IS EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM.

 

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...

  PAULS VALLEY...STRATFORD...PAOLI...BYARS AND WHITEBEAD.

You'd think all the schools in the plains would have some kind of underground shelter.

 

I'm a teacher in Nebraska, we don't have underground shelters in our schools. We prepare by going to the most interior part of the school. If this tornado would have hit my area it would cause mass causalities.
