CoastalWx
SPC should have issued a PDS and high risk for today. They really dropped the ball. You can't Monday morning QB a scenario where it hits a larger city.
Disc
SPC should have issued a PDS and high risk for today. They really dropped the ball. A PDS would be for a high certainty outbreak. This was somewhat similar to yesterday where confidence wasn't that great, but there was the possibility for a strong/violent tornado somewhere. I don't think we should bash the SPC. They've done a good job with this outbreak covering all the possibilities in their outlooks.
phil882
The TDWR was really in the perfect spot capturing the evolution at 1min intervals. Easily the most impressive reflectivity I've seen from a permanent standing radar.

shaggy
Has such a significant tornado been videoed from start to finish and been so clear on cameras? I mean its entire life cycle was caught on tape. The damage is tremendous but with such a slow moving tornado of that size and strength its easy to see how it destroyed so much.
SharonA
If you've GOT to speculate ratings and decision-making, can you please do it in another thread? The day's got a long way to go and there are still active TOGs and more to come.

Indystorm
Remember as well that high risk is more for geographic extent and total number of tornadoes, not just intensity. As CuMet commented in this thread earlier today, it only takes a few unfortunately placed...I'm very proud of the folks at SPC. They are the best of the best in my opinion.
