FWD continues Tornado Warning for Montague [TX] till 6:15 PM CDT ...AT 610 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS WERE WATCHING A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH A HISTORY OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THE TORNADIC CIRCULATION WAS LOCATED OVER NORTH CENTRAL MONTAGUE COUNTY...WEST OF LAKE NOCONA...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH.

Three supercells have developed west of Arlington and the southernmost is already producing a tornado.

Re the Mineral Wells storm... I don't see it, there's a meso on top but nothing on the surface unless the tornado is in the clear air.

Yeah, I don't trust that report.. The baseballs I believe though. ZDR is in the tank due to mie scattering and CC's are very low in the entire hail growth zone.

looks like the rfd might be wrapping now.. could go soon.

Can you do dual-pol cross sections? Should be about as classic a ZDR column on that thing as you'll see. Pretty prominent differential attenuation behind the hail core visible in the ZDR like you mentioned.

And check out the ZDR arc and ZDR hole north of it on the northern sup near Sunset, TX. Textbook. I can't do cross sections but it looks like the ZDR column extends to at least 20,800 ft on the 3.5 deg tilt.
