Superstorm93
Initiation Two 36kft tops have gone up. The one north of Cimarron appears to be connected to a "gravity wave" of sorts as snowflake mentioned.

Chinook
I wonder if the storms between Ness City and WaKeeney will be the first tornado-warned storms of the day.
brettjrob
Not to state the obvious, but sfc obs confirm LCLs will be a problem until closer to sunset across most of the risk area. T/Td spreads are on the order of 20-30 F over the zone most of the existing and developing storms will move through the next 1-2 hrs. I'd held out hope for a possible earlier show in NW KS, but their moisture eventually mixed out a bit too over the past hour or so. Still think the northern storms will be the first to arrive in an environment supportive of non-stratospheric cloud bases, but from my position near LaCrosse, I'm beginning to think about dropping back S anyway. EDIT: 100/21 at DDC now... lol.
Superstorm93
If that cell near Utica can concentrate the multiple updrafts it has (which it appears to be doing) then it should be the first tornado warned storm of the day. Already has slight signs of rotation
