Sunny and Warm
3.36" last 12 hours (I guess I'm not getting any rain for the next four summers). If it's any consolation, since June 1st, we've had rain on 31 of the 52 days down here. And that is after a rainy spring which was 4th coldest in 130 years. greg ralls
Those storms were amazing in terms of thunder & lightning last night. At around 1:30 AM, there were 3 instantaneous flashes & crashes - kept sniffing to make sure my attic hadn't been struck.

NaoPos
It was the real deal at PHL though: KPHL 230554Z VRB03KT 3SM R09R/5500VP6000FT TSRA SCT009 BKN021CB OVC030 24/22 A2976 RMK AO2 PK WND 25052/0541 TSB02 SLP077 FQT LTGICCC VC NW-VC N TS VC NW-VC N MOV NE P0119 60119 T02390222 10267 20233 55010 $ A legit missed warning it seems. IsentropicLift
Why did Mt. Holly drop the Flash Flood Watch for its northern counties? I know most of the models keep the activity east but you can see activity building in NE PA now

And 1.19" just in the hour ending at 6z. Yeah, it was a missed event. More focus was on flooding which was the main threat, but saw some bowing in the line. TPHL had 40 knots inbound, but looks like a microburst occurred at KPHL with another one in Gloucester county. It was a tad busy last night to say the least. NaoPos
anyone think that the stuff out west makes it here as some sort of MCS such as last night? the 12z SPC WRF kills it off as it approaches to a couple of mall cells N&W of the burbs...

Yeah I certainly wouldn't have thought a SVR was needed either. Not hounding you guys, of course, just pointing out how surprised I was at that ob. Tiburon
Funny thing is I'm about 6 miles from PHL as the crow flies, and I only picked up about 0.6" of rain last night and about 0.68" today. Doppler estimates back up my numbers. Bizarre.

weathergeek5
Any reports out of that Wilmington? There are a few close CG lightning strikes, not much wind. The main thing here is heavy torrential rains. Make that quite a few close CG strikes.
SouthernNJ
The storm is moving more to the right, which will take it closer to my location. Actually some sun in and out here right now. I may go out to watch this one as it moves in.

SouthernNJ
Some strong wind gusts moving from Westville into Camden along the river. The first storm from Delaware was good to look at with a few CG's around some scud clouds, but it did not do much by the time it reached my area.
