I'm all the way in Harrisburg and your storms are producing a major light show looking off to the ESE

Well there are storms as close as Baltimore metro... that's much closer to H-burg than Philly.

I see them off to the South, but I was on 81 & 581 driving mostly east and I saw the clouds lit up all over the horizon. It's impressive. I even checked a compass once I saw the radar and how far they were.

Got really busy relaying weather reports for Skywarn for Camden County.  So, didn't even get a chance to post here.

Using GRLevel 3 radar, the tops on these storms got into the 50,000 foot range.  Tops on these storms were up to 52,000 feet at one point right over Lindenwold in Camden County. I didn't get much in the way of those strong damaging winds as reported below, but the lightning was incredible.

Here's the storm reports.

So, the storms finally break this heatwave.  Talk about going out with a big bang from these storms..

That's actually kind-of a hook on radar over the far eastern nub of Bucks near Tullytown.  There's nothing out that way but landfills and a power plant though.

Weak rotation from at least 7200 ft AGL down to 5600 ft, then broader velocity mischief below that.

Probably nothing but hey, you never know.

Just absolutely getting hammered just north east of Reading in Fleetwood. Wind, ctg lightning, thunder boomers, and just torential downpoor for the past 20 minutes and the radar doesn't look like it will let up in the near future. Should be some impressive totals in the am.

Had rivers flowing through the yard. That was intense for a while.

Looks like we'll avoid the flooding here in the city and immediate burbs, but the line is starting bow a bit from Phoenixville to KOP to Media.  30-35 kts on lowest BV tilt in that area, wth the highest being 38 kts in Radnor.  Tops to 45 kft in the area as well.

It was the real deal at PHL though:

A legit missed warning it seems.

And 1.19" just in the hour ending at 6z.
