powderfreak
Raining pretty hard up here right now. Quite a big swath of heavy rainfall down in CT/MA. These spots look to be making up some deficits from the past couple of months. Impressive gradient in the Hartford area...like 1"+ pixel next to <0.3" pixels. powderfreak
Wow. Just shows how things even out in a hurry. May will come in quite a bit above normal in terms of rainfall, especially with another 1-3" possible over the next 72 hours. This could be a 6-8" month at BTV with almost 5" on the month so far. ALB is also going to be above with more rainfall in the past 48 hours than during the entire month of April.

moneypitmike
Glad we're on the E edge of that heavier stuff currently. Over 3" on the week so far. We got caught a shot in the arm from the initial burst that dropped .33" in 20 minutes. After that, it eased up a lot and had continual lighter but steady rains. Ended up the day with .92". For the week (which I think the Davis' storm total reflects), I have 2.73" and up to 3.80 on the month. Lawn's flourishing.

weatherwiz
Hopefully we don't see the core of the high pressure settle as far north as the GFS suggests or otherwise the best shear/lapse rates will deflect north in to Canada/extreme northern New England. Let's hope for a backdoor cold front/quasi-stationary front backing in like last week... Like you said though, the whole ridge may be too far northwest to allow for that to happen.
