WxJordan
1.8 inches so far in Hildebran, NC, near Hickory. Rivers are starting to get full and a flood warning has been issued for some western NC counties. Heavy rain looks to be the theme for the next hour, just sitting back and enjoying it. Hvward
1.38 today so far. Was in the Enka-Candler area early and it never stopped raining (was there for 2 hours) then came back over to the city (one valley to the east) and my rain gauge hadn't changed since I had left. Crazy storm
NCsandhills
Rain is starting to fall just to my west, in the Southern Pines area. Few sprinkles here in Fayetteville.
Snowless in Carrollton
Radar doesn't look too impressive to me. Looks like it will be more hit or miss instead of widespread rainfall. That looks especially true for Atlanta and areas to the south.

Snowless in Carrollton
Didn't parts of the Atl area just get like 4"? I think Atlanta and areas to the south, north, and east got 3-5" yesterday and this morning. Also in northwest Georgia I believe Rome got at least 3-4". The rest of us 2" or less. Still waiting on all that rain we were supposed to get in my area.
Rainforrest
4.37 inches so far. Temp. is 47. Many roads closed in the county. Just checked radar and more heavy rain on our doorstep.

machetemoonlight
This is an oddball system for sure... just saw a photo of a house and yard covered in hail in N. Alabama today. Looks like about a six inch snowfall unless you look really closely.

Met1985
Wow just woke up and ran down to the river and wow I was right on saying this morning if this keeps up we would have major flooding. The river has risen some 10+ feet. the low lying areas the water is about 4 feet from spilling into the road. Cow fields have been flooded and a small stream which runs about 4-5 inches deep is now a raging river about 5 feet deep. I have taken pics and will try to post them before going to work. Still pouring th rain also and that is not good.
MarvelMountain
6.2 inches and still raining. Never got above 47 here today. Lucky I don't live in a low area, but some of the creek bridges are overwashed. I'll bet the Lake Lure dam is completely open. By the way, the wooden swing belongs to a neighbor, and it's still there. S-A-T-U-R-A-T-I-O-N....................... LithiaWx
Thought it was supposed to rain today. Not a cloud in the sky here. Gorgeous weather. You have really had some terrible posts for this storm.
Marion_NC_WX
Over 3.5 inches storm total and the Catawba is flooding...which is amazing to see it flooding with under 4 inches for a 24 hour period. I think the saturation prior to this event has made the flooding a lot more significant. The very concerning part is that our storm is stalling over Alabama which keeps a deep Southeast flow over the escarpment...could be some major problems for a lot of areas by tomorrow. calculus1
Wow! Awesome pics and totals for some of you guys in NW SC, SW NC, SE TN, and N GA. I'm sitting at 1.21 inches so far, but the heavy stuff continues to stay just to my SW. It's a decent total, nonetheless, and I'm sure I'll get more over the next couple of days and nights. Keep the updates coming...
