CT Rain
If the outer cape is all snow they come close to warning criteria on this run. Looks like 0.2" or so liquid GON-PVD-BOS
moneypitmike
Here I am waaaayyyy west and I'm watching for the 1 in 1,000,000 chance I get a little action. That's how badly I have this disease. I would never choose city life over the rural one. Even if there was snow there what good is it laying on flatland.lol Agreed on both points. Maybe we'll get a flurry from our cirrus. lol
dendrite
NAM looks like a 1-3" event for Cape Cod, RI, SE CT through 24. It's probably too far west though, but there could be some light accumulations in these areas. I still think an advisory level event is stretching it, however. thx 4 ur thawtz
ctsnowstorm628
I love when people say good work or good job when the event hasn't even happened yet...lmao! because this rly hasnt been an 'event' for ct since like thursday morning... Kbosch
It does but i think its gonna try to catch cape and islands in ccb again. Accum snow for pretty much everyone along and east of 95 methinks. Yeah, 24-30 almost makes me the line of the fun times. Very nice.

Yeah Cape just gets into the CCB... looks like enough moisture gets thrown back for some accumulation BOS/PVD/GON/OKX
cpickett79
Saw you on TV last night around 11. You said the storm was going out to sea and "not many people are going to complain about that." What kind of a weenie are you? either a "politically correct" or a fake one. but no weenie or snow lover would say that.
skierinvermont
The actual s/w is better this run, but there is more convective interference, so the storm sort of divides in two. Looks pretty similar to 18z for the end result maybe slightly better (it hooks left more late).
Boston-winter08
LP actually west about 20-30 miles on this run

nzucker
Nam looks good to me with the s/w but there is more convective interference NAM looks way different from the 18z GFS at 24 hours, much farther west with the precipitation shield...I don't know if this is its typical bias of overdoing QPF or a true synoptic difference that its resolution can recognize:

DomNH
either a "politically" correct one of a fake one. If Ray were a met, the 6AM news on Friday morning would just have been a tipped chair in front of the green screen.
Baroclinic Zone
That's just the spread and it's probably from the same Eta5 SREF member that has been trying to give NNE a snowstorm every run. Looks like the spread tightened up but there looks to be a slight nudge NW in the mean down by the Cape.

Boston-winter08
It's almost as if the second area of low pressure knocks ours further west due to the Greenland blocking
Tropopause_Fold
Nice event on the nam...probably a little frontside qpf wasted on marginal temps but at face value its a plowable snowfall

dendrite
Haven't seen the SREF members yet, but when I quickly looked at the crappy NCEP mean images and compared the 24hr QPF maps from 21z and 15z it seemed like the numbers were cut back a bit in the interior and a slight bump around the Cape. Looks like the NAM is coming in a bit like that with a sharper gradient.
Arnold214
All in all...generally speaking, the nam held serve fwiw.

CT Rain
I want to see the actual sref members before getting more excited about the mean. We could have 1 or 2 members really driving up the mean. A median precip would probably be much more useful
