40/70 Benchmark
Anyway, I'm out....gotta be social and clear my mind after being so reclusive as a result of being glued to this machine for the past 48 hrs. Good luck to Scott, Phil and all those to my se who still have a prayer for a flake....would be a moral victory if we could get the sand dunes of the cape a white xmas in the face of such unprecedented metorological turmoil.....take that, 2010!! ski MRG
Diamond Dust snow at the Pete ranch! I would divert my flight to Tahoe area and ski for two weeks in the ten feet of new and say , hey Pete so sorry maybe next time. Haha, Pete's like a brother, truly a member of the family, my guess is we'll get in a few days of skiing frozen crud and then he'll jet back to the deep and steep. I may be in Jackson Hole in late Jan and then back to AK for March/April. If the snow won't come to you, go to the snow.
Clinch Leatherwood
Up here the 60hr accum...looks like from 12z to 0z the NAM shifted about 150-175 miles NW off the coast of ACK with the .5 line. Even another move 1/2 that distance will probably hit the game with decent QPF via a combination of dynamics and some weak OES. I'll like this trend much more on the GFS which may look prettier due to it's ability to extend that .1 into lala. The SREFs hinted NW with the SLP, I think this is still kind of an aberration on the NAM, I expect a stronger low up north and a well defined intense comma head that will get very close. I'm curious to see the RGEM.

ski MRG
Man I thought Pickles offed himself on the boilerplate at WAWA He just started skiing right? Working as an instructor I always found adults were the hardest to teach. They fear their own mortality too much.lol Evry once in a while though somebody would really take to it like a fish to water. Maybe it'll work that way for the Pickle.

My nephew lived in Alaska most of his life, thirty plus, he skied Aleyeska , heli skied etc, now lives near Tahoe said they have conservative Mets going berserk with snow amounts, says 12 feet is doable. CT Rain
I still think Wednesday could be interesting. The s/w over Minnesota looks nice on the NAM at 84 hours and we're close to seeing some retro action. Not sure how they join forces... but it will be interesting. Once in a lifetime I'm afraid. I remember that battle royal in the chat with DT which we laugh about now. Larry C too. That wasn't so much that a storm did a 180, models were focused on the wrong system s/w all along. NAM picked up on the developments first, then slowly the others came into line but this was all inside of 36-42 hours.
