ineedsnow
it said it was running 3 hours late but i guess not anymore 15z SREFs are already out. 21z will be coming in a bit.
Clinch Leatherwood
The only thing keeping me sane anyway is that it's been cold. And that we had the snow event the other night. If it had been mild this Dec I def would have lost it It just really sucks for the kids (and us big kids) that there was no snow before either holiday. There's nothing better than Christmas snow. Might be a glimmer of hope as the RUC progresses, I hope we see the spread towards the NW still on the SREF.

I'm hopeful the inch I have left on the ground lasts another 7 days lol Personally I think the Sunday/Monday threat is at 0 even in SE areas. Think it's time to look ahead to Tuesday/.Wed

Think it's time to look ahead to Tuesday/.Wed I think it's one and the same though. If this goes even worse at 0z I think we're cooked for the whole "event" but let's see. This looks somewhat more hopeful to me north of the left lake.
Clinch Leatherwood
SREFs still IMO give us some hope of a NW shift. I'm pretty sure this whole elongated mess is being driven by feedback or some other type of noise in the modeling. We'll see.

ski MRG
The only thing keeping me sane anyway is that it's been cold. And that we had the snow event the other night. If it had been mild this Dec I def would have lost it I've been very busy so I've only tuned in around 00z and 12z and haven't been overly invested. Tough break to have to endure but we'll get a storm in here before long. You need to keep it together for the sake of all the kids here that look up to you as an example of a mature weenie. Be strong for them and immediately latch onto that 240hr GFS threat that's destined to deliver a knock out punch. The cold has been impressive (below zero this AM) and looks to continue despite all the dire warnings to the contrary. Everyone should get at least a dusting by X-mas and who knows maybe , just maybe, something fires up for the Holiday weekend. Christmas snow is magic snow, you know. It's nice and white here so a white x-mas is a lock for us. Personally, I'm looking forward to the complete reversal of the OTS runs of the last 24 hrs starting tonight at 00z. Keep your spirits up. Clinch Leatherwood
Pretty sizeable NW jump on the Sref's for everyone..but not biting..no way no how Yeah we need to see it right away on the 0z NAM. But like I said, I think everyone is ignoring what appears to be a classic feedback issue way out east. Been a problem for 12+ months and even the EC seems susceptible. I think the SREFs are really really signaling there may be a more dominant NW low. The RUC looks pretty damn good I think. yeah it's the ruc but inside of 12 hours it's pretty good with 500mb trends. Yukon Cornelius
To say this title is foolish is an understatment. "Gillette Stadium Prepares for Possible Flurries"... How do you prepare for flurries!? Lol. "They're taking extra measure to make sure that everyone is safe from the wild weather..." So that's what it's come too...a flurry storm in New England being "wild weather". Tough times...tough time indeed. Sorry just had to post this...too funny. http://www1.whdh.com...sible-flurries/

Clinch Leatherwood
:lmao: Back to my regularly scheduled hibernation\break. I'd rather look at the RUC now then whack it to the 4d+ EC/GFS...but that's just me. The NAM jogged west even at 0h versus the 18h run with the component that becomes the OV S/W...laugh all you will but the ruc nailed it. Don't believe me look. ski MRG
Is MRG open? They picked up 6-8" last night and some friends e-mailed me some picks from this afternoo and it looked good but they aren't officially open. Earned turns. They need a real pasteing of heavy base building material, they've been getting fluffy goose feathers but it's so airy it's easy to bottom out. I think they'll spin the lifts this week. Hope we get some big snow soon or I'll have to listen to my AK friends tell how bad it sucks here and why I need to move up there. I almost want them to have to ski bulletproof mm hardpack/ice this coming week so I can rag on them for being powder divas.
