WinterWxLuvr
I think we both agree that 40's is a big stretch unless the clouds are as effective as an eclipse. I can easily see upper 50's as a possibility though. Pretty strong caa and clouds could be pretty thick with a fairly low ceiling. Bring it! Same here. Bring it!!!!! I don't think I've much of a chance until that line now over central WV comes through..... IF it comes through.

Kmlwx
Line forming back along the WV/VA border. Race against sunset to see if it can make it into the Metro areas before it dies out. Has been intensifying recently. Probably some overturning in areas that have gotten heavy rain.

WxUSAF
Such a tease It's sort of very slowly redeveloping SEward toward us, but I'm not holding my breath. Maybe the line out along the Blue Ridge will hang together.

jacindc
I got on the Beltway at Georgia Avenue around 7:40 heading westward, with black skies to my north out Georgia and to the west ahead of me on the Beltway. I could see the rain ahead past Connecticut Avenue, and that's where it started to POUR, all the way until River Road. Not much more than spitting by the time I crossed into Virginia, and nothing down the GW Parkway then across the 14th Street Bridge, where I could see clear skies beneath the cloud line that was still clearly over Montgomery County. And it was black to the north northeast, behind the Washington Monument.

EastCoast NPZ
Ha, gotcha didn't it? It did, but I stayed on the NW edge of it as it actually ended up moving south and east of me. The backside filled in, so I did get a decent rain out of it. Looks like I got nearly .40 from that one and maybe another couple hundredths from another around 7 PM. There is a big cell again just to my east right now; thunder and lightning like crazy, but I'm only getting light rain. Nice to watch it though.
