really going to be cold, maybe Monday will be warm

Yeah, that was the day I was thinking.  Obviously will depend on temps.  My kids are still young, and will take water even when it's cold.  My son went in his friends pool this past Sunday.  Water must have been in the high 50's or low 60's.  I always used to swim at our lake house in the Adirondacks on Memorial day, usually about 4 weeks after the snow was completely gone.  You won't find me pulling a stunt like that any more.

NYC backdoored too. This front meant business. Basically you are going to have to wait until the warmer air advects in here and gets flushed out as dews everywhere are in the lower 50s. That will take time. When NYC has NE winds...you really aren't going to ger humid very quickly. That return flow will take a while to get established. Kind of a funky setup.

LOL..no it isn't. It'll get well into the 80's everywhere except Eastern mass

maybe.   the front is all the way back to NYC and they are always slower to move out than forecast...I've always found once the Back door is through, good luck getting rid of it....we'll see...

30 AM UPDATE...

CONVECTION IS FINALLY DYING DOWN AS IT ENTERS INTO ALREADY WORKED

OVER AIR. EXPECT PRECIP TO CONTINUE TO MOVE EASTWARD AND

DISSIPATE. TEMPS ARE SLOW TO REBOUND THIS MORNING...BUT WITH

WINDS SOUTH OF THE PIKE ALREADY SWITCHING TO THE SW...EXPECT TEMPS

TO JUMP LATER THIS MORNING. OTHERWISE BULK OF THE FORECAST REMAINS

ON TRACK AS STRONG TO SEVERE WEATHER IS STILL ANTICIPATED ACROSS

THE WESTERN HALF OF THE REGION.

Agree...looks good on paper, but these models also did not have the front down to NYC, so I'm skeptical of solutions showing it moving out of here so fast...

Give the strong May sun another hour or 2 and things will take off. It's a shallow air mass. I've gone from 51.1 up to 56.2/56 currently

agree...if nothing happens by 11 or 12, we're in trouble--looks like the extent of the airmass is down to Newark, NJ or so...south of there it's in the 70's with calm winds...
