My friend will be down and if there is no severe wx we will go and you always give me rides so I wan to give you a ride. God I love nature, it's so good to you. Just relax and take a deep breath everyone. Stop the fighting. It's like May and its spring. Today rained here and there but I saw the sun which made it hard to figure out what to wear but you can always take it off, right? Now it's idk but I see sun. I like sun. Typhoon Tip
The NAM's surface pressure evolution is funny on this run, as it diabatically annihilates that big high passing N. Big time solar heating and rising motion literally induces a bifurcation of the high .. .it creates quasi surface boundaries to deal with it. It shows above all else, that the overall circulation is quite a-seasonal.
joey2002
Wow @ this tornado in Texas... terrible photos coming out already. SPC this morning: http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/archive/2013/day1otlk_20130515_1200.html
moneypitmike
Odd temp spreads this morning. Probably need lots of staplers and other assorted "paperweights" for the deck office today. Today: Sunny. Not as cool with highs in the mid 70s. West winds 15 to 20 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph...increasing to 40 mph this afternoon. 55.6/39 here.
CoastalWx
Should be a warm up early next week before the bottom falls out as the front sags south. Still some differences next weekend, but ensembles aren't pretty. I bet it coulld be something where Sunday and Monday are better days.....but just an educated guess at this point. CoastalWx
This weekend looks a little better as the high slides more east and winds turn more SE on the coast. 60s-70s for all. Very nice and seasonable.

moneypitmike
I imagine that today's wind will end the blizzard of those stringy 'leaf blossom' things. Deck, cars, picnic table totally covered. Actually swept the deck yesterday--would never know it this morning. 57.4/40. Already recorded 15mph this morning--considering options to get 10m readings. Good day to keep the deck umbrella down. S&P
curious to get thoughts on tropical activity in the (western) caribean in June. Bastardi has been banging that drum . i think he says the euro is showing it based on MJO activity (if i understand his tweets correctly). anyone with access to the weeklies see this and what are thoughts on this. will be vacationing in the carribean then so his tweets have piqued my interest. TIA
