This place is lol in the spring/summer.

It's unfortunate how much the post quality goes to sh*t. Most mets and normal posters are left with trying to insert normality into this subforum, but sometimes I wonder if it's better off to let it spin out of control.

yes I have learned you went anti dry and over hyped this 5 day rain event into something it was not.

To be fair, you said you would start at 1" as a good starting point for the 5 days, no? It seems enough areas will have 5-day totals over 1" and that's what HPC had...a general soaking rain of 1-2" over a 7 day period.

I don't know what you and Ginx have going on, but from afar it seems to have worked out as modeled. It was never going to be a drought buster but it certainly helps. Or maybe it doesn't and it might as well never rained... You're the one that works and uses rain to help you with your living.

Exactly what I said, no spin, wet period with some dreary days mixed around some fine days. As far as grumpy, lol. It is so green here I feel refreshed, energized and ready to hit the beaches soon ( even after working 18 hours yesterday)

The 5 day pay the piper doom and gloom athon that Ginx touted by the way he said an additional .5-1.0 this weekend lets remember actually delivered the nicest day of the spring (yesterday) and has increased our rain deficit here.

PAY THE PIPER!

Looks like a washout today, tomorrow nothing but dry.

It's sad, but we may actually have to moderate more during the summer. It's becoming difficult to discuss weather with the weenie biases and purposeful trolling. This forum has been a broken record for about 2 years. I like everyone here, but aren't most of you tired of it?

Take Brian's advice. Yes I believe an additional .5 will fall in spots and maybe someone gets an inch. I also said there would be a nice day. My original post said we would have to pay the piper for the incredible stretch of consecutive warm dry days at some point, you spun that out of control. I have discussed my opinion you deem it necessary to mock that, ok with me but whatever. Should be some decent showery type rains with some embedded Tstorms especially in western areas. Maybe a discrete cell or two in areas that destabilize.

Yes. Please moderate at will. The only folks that will get pissed at moderation will be the habitual offenders. Use the NNE thread as a barometer ;)...no trolling BS in there, just obs/disco with no hype and spin.

LOL at the dry talk.

Remember when they were laughing when I pointed out how the Euro ensembles kept showing a change to a wetter pattern between 5/7-5/12...all we got was "dry begets dry" with no real meteorological explanation of why the ensembles might be wrong.

Yeah they did well. I know I clown around too, but some of the crap gets old. The pattern looks fine, in fact a good part of the country has received some beneficial precip except for the southwest.

I have not seen one post from anyone saying the weather has been bad over the last month.

Everyone seems to be on the same page as you. What is paying the piper have to do with anything?

I think he cannot make a weather post that isn't some sort of a trolling jab at a "manufactured enemy". I think 95% of the talk the last several weeks was how nice the weather was with that strong high pressure controlling our region.

Its bizarre. This is a weather board and seemingly little meteorological discussion goes on without some sort of trolling. I think most of us are tired of it by now.

And yes, I know I countertroll from time to time...but the weenieisms get so excessive it's impossible not to battle it back to reach some semblance of equilibrium.

Tornado reminded me of the ones in Barnstable and Plymouth county about 10+ years ago.  Same setup upper low came through and spun up a few weak waterspouts/tornados including one that crossed the cape cod canal.

I like your new avatar, although having 2 Lloyd Bridges in the threads was pretty good too
