Baroclinic Zone
Yes U70s on May10 is unheard of. U70s for BDR on May10 is a torch. Climo is on 66F for the high. The record for the day is 87F.
Brian5671
Yes U70s on May10 is unheard of. Given the lack of extremes this spring, it's somewhat remarkable. And it's a good 10-15 degrees above normal...climo is upper 60's for today...We've really only had 1-2 days above 75 here going back to March...last few years features more days with warmth in that range or even higher... That's because the seabreeze kills your normals. More of a SW-W wind boost temps. Look at a place like BDL. These temps are above normal...but it's May10th after all and U70s certainly can be common this time of year. Many of us haven't even hit 80 yet this season. Valid point....odd though that we are one of the few locales that have hit 80...think BDR recorded an 81 week of April 8th....other than that day and part of the next day, we've rarely been above 70 this year so far....too bad it's a Friday as tomorrow looks like a washout. ORH_wxman
Today is a solid torch...nothing close to record breaking, but a solid warm spring day. There's a chance highs will be 20F cooler on Monday than today...at least here.

CoastalWx
How about here? Upton seems to have us raining from 3am right through most of tomorrow... I think because of your longitude, you do run the risk of more showers/tstms but I think there is no chance you have straight rain through the period. Maybe a burst very late night and tomorrow morning and then some more rain or thunder in the aftn. I do think it may be rather cloudy there.
