You're not leafed out?!? Central VT is leafed out already.

Not yet, leaf out is painfully slow here and above 800' it's mostly still tree's with tiny buds, a few bare tree's and a select few tree's that have leaves. Maybe the freeze on sunday morning slowed things down a bit:

no way still lots of trees in bud stage, I would say 80%

What's Coventry saying? That dude has good no-spin obs...but IIRC last year we had this discussion and many of us have slightly different ideas of what leafout is. IE if a tree has any green then its leafed out in Tolland, even if you can still see straight through the forest. I think of 100% leafout as you cant see through the trees because well there are leaves obstructing the line of sight.

Look to the south shortly...should be a nice band of summertime looking TCU moving up.

I'll be on the lookout...I'm in CON. There's a few Cu to the SE, but that's it right now. One of them has that pileus/lenticular cap look above it, but there isn't much vertical extent so no TCU. Kinda strange to see that from a smaller Cu.

It's the same situation with regards to leaf-out in Bolton and Tolland near the coventry border as it is here above 800'. I had business in Northampton MA yesterday and it was nice to see near full leaf-out in alot of locations, but depressing to come back to somewhat bare tree's.

I was up at my sugarbush in Union over the weekend and there's a difference above 1000' as well.  It looked as if most trees were just budding but it's a little beyond that.  It's definitely running late but not unprecedented.

Looks like some nice rain incoming...that might speed things up.

Just to join the chorus - Happy Birthday Scott!

That's what I hear.  Been in the City for 9 years now and I have never heard of it till today.  Article in the local paper made light of them.  In business for 60 years now.  Guess I know where I'm heading.

I've been to that diner place...I think that's where Ekster and Joe D used to go for pancakes.
