The weather is beautiful but boring.  Maybe I can stir up a bit of banter by picking the top five finishers in the Coca-Cola 600.

1. Goober

2. Redneck

3. Bubba

4. Cracker

5. Cletus

Bonus Pick - Highest Fine of the Week

Hey, Burns... I saw on the other thread where you dittoed yourself.  I don't know about behind the quicky mart counter, but folks down here say that can rot your morals, and make you  go blind.  Please have a care!

 T

That explains the followers of a certain political commentator who shall remain nameless on the weather side.

Goober won't win. He's due for a pit road penalty for leaving the pit box with the wrench in. The rest look good though. Anicka will probably finish 30+, as usual.

The fact that it is almost June and we have had so few thunderstorms this spring is just astonishing. I know there have been a few folks who have reported fairly strong storms, but I can't remember a spring where to this point, I have heard only a few claps of thunder.

Could not have asked for a better weekend...both days have been excellent.

I'm beach bound (Myrtle) in 2 weeks, hoping  for it to be plenty warm and humid...and even if the GFS is on to something, maybe I can get some beautiful pics. Seems like most times you can get some nice shots of cloud formations on the backside of a tropical low.

I missed the chance to see the elevation snow being on Long Island for the memorial day weekend. I never thought I would have to worry about missing flakes for memorial day. There were reports of sleet/graupel on LI but I didn't see it.
