baroclinic_instability
Getting pretty jealous seeing all the pics coming from the northern high plains. I truly miss that area...probably one of the few areas I miss in the plains, lol.
Ian
SD is just silly at putting on amazing shows, be it structure or unexpected tornadoes, on such a regular basis this time of year. Wish I could just live in RAP for the next month. For some reason I've been itching to come back to SD even tho our first trip was for a nighttime tor that we didn't see during one of the worst two weeks for chasing ever (early may 2011). Now I remember why. A chase day like today is worth it without a tornado no question. I love the high plains so much.

ZackH
Man that was a sweet storm. I wasn't even chasing, I was vacationing on my one year wedding anniversary. Then we end up with a sweet mothership after a day of sightseeing.

jojo762
Central Nebraska looks interesting... Supercell composite of 20, and Sig. Tornado (effective layer) of 4... If anything were to develop in that area, it could get interesting...
Chinook
This storm in SD is ridiculous http://twitter.com/islivingston/status/338455223523758080/photo/1 If you don't mind me asking (again): How does a rain-free cloud base wrap around an area that appears to have both rain and a higher cloud base? If anything were to develop in that area, it could get interesting...Parameters look nice but mid lvl winds are iffy plus it's Nebraska, home of the bust. We are sitting in Stapleton after a 6 hr drive. At least we will be better positioned for tomorrow.
Chinook
Wow, sometimes Nebraska is parameterland. I can't really say I believe we need a tornado watch yet. There are only a few blips on radar. EHI from this afternoon's RAP
jojo762
What's preventing that convection SE of Broken Arrow from exploding? Already has 50kft tops... EDIT: TOR Watch issued for central Nebraska...

Dsnowx53
I'm chasing the southern cell, and based on my view, I think Ian and I are on the same cell. I'm on the sunny side while he's on the dark side. It's just unreal.
baroclinic_instability
That LP in Custer Cty is light years better looking than the HP mess that is tor warned, at least for viewing. Of course I never saw anything like that when I was in North Platte.

Dsnowx53
Sunset in Arcadia, Nebraska is at 8:59. With the sunset, this storm is simply stunning. I cannot emphasize that enough.
