hawkeye_wx
It may be a nasty, ridiculously cold May day, but the first bright orange baltimore oriole of the year just showed up at my feeder. Those things sure stand out during gloomy weather.

Geos
Have had training downpours impacting the area since 3pm. Quite a bit of ponding on city streets. What a miserable day after the last 5 days!

cyclone77
Pretty quiet day today here. Expected a cold and rainy day, but it has yet to rain. Temps actually haven't been too bad either, mainly in the low to mid 50s all day.
harrisale
This pattern has produced incredible weather for use here the last 3 days. Mid-low 70's (slightly above normal for this time), low wind and clear skies. It's been just great, and should continue into tomorrow.
Geos
Next week is looking pretty good so far. 60s and mostly dry until later in the week. .08" of rain so far today with more waves of showers to the south. Some pretty good cells out in Boone County.
Chicago WX
Another 80º at LAF today. Summer has arrived in the tropics. Rather remarkable we may see little to nothing here from this cut-off low. WPC 5 day rainfall...0.10" or so for LAF. Maybe, if we're lucky. And to boot...no cool/or cold temps as well, as the forecast for tomorrow through next week is for continued AOA normal temps. Whole different world just to the west.
Geos
Rumbling pretty good here. Temperature has actually come up a few degrees since the winds have turned more N to NNW.
Brewers
Thanks for finding and sharing the images. The storm certainly had rapid intensification. Awesome stuff. Hopefully BA gets back to you, if he does I'd like to know the response. Just following up on this. I talked to Bart the other day, and he pretty much told me what I expected. He said he was working that morning and the forecast they put out the night before had no mention of snow and the NWS had nothing but rain as well. He also mentioned that the weather models(LFM and NGM) at that time handled the storm poorly. I recommend looking at the Milwaukee Journal and Sentinel newspaper archives for more information. http://news.google.com/newspapers
daddylonglegs
I can't believe people aren't jumping off the Cass St bridge after a May day like this... This is like high temps in the 50Fs in July...
nwohweather
I can't believe that it's May 1st and Oklahoma has WWA up. That is absolutely mind boggling, it seems as if the cold just will not go away. I will admit though my body isn't used to these upper 70 degree highs, gonna take a little while to adjust
