daddylonglegs
I think everyone in La Crosse County mowed their lawns today... Every single neighbor was out mowing today/tonite. Chicago WX
Always overachieving LAF, whether high or low, with a 34º this morning. That shatters the old record of 40º for today, set back in 2003. Other sites in Indiana with a sub 40º min temp: South Bend: 37º (record: 33º in 1925) Goshen: 39º Terre Haute: 39º (record: 36º in 1956)

michsnowfreak
From the heat to the AC now back to the heat! Yesterdays high of 68 occurred in the morning before afternoon temps fell into the 40s with light rain. Game time temp of Tigers game was 43F. Anyone who left for work without a jacket yesterday morning was SORRY when they got out lol. Low this morning at DTW "only" got to 40 but most of the area mid to upper 30s. This was already the 4th day this May where most of SE MI was in the 30s (or lower), some if not many years you barely get 1...yet the month has a very solid above average departure. Several more chilly mornings ahead. I managed to pick up 0.49" of rain the last days so my May total is at 0.76" (incl a T of snow) but DTW only got 0.31" the last 2 days so they are at just 0.56" on the month. If that total were to hold it would be the 2nd driest May on record (there is a chance of rain the last few days of the month however).
michsnowfreak
A mostly non-statistical look at this wacky May... Its been WAY warmer than normal...YET...we have had a record low, and 4 (possibly more) mornings with widespread temps in the 30s (or lower). A typical May would have I would guess 1 to 2 such days. Its been WAY warmer and WAYYYY drier than normal...YET...snowflakes were observed over most of the area on Mother's Day. Side note: We were told last years allergy season was "so bad" because of how early everything bloomed. And now we are told this years allergy season is "so bad" because of everything blooming later than normal. Just can't win.

BowMeHunter
Had to ice scrape the truck window this AM. 50 degrees and blue bird sky outside. First time ever camping along Lake Michigan and the forecast is for upper 40's tomorrow, figures, next yr we wont go there and it will be 90+ inland. Have a great Memorial Day weekend all. Hoosier
I think we have another shot at 30s tonight. Radiational cooling setup looks pretty good but starting off much warmer tonight and temps aloft are warmer so I doubt we can repeat last night's 34. hawkeye_wx
Fantastic day today with temps in the mid 60s and light wind. It appears Iowa may be in the bullseye for rain the next few days. Models show repeated MCS activity developing in western Iowa and moving across the state.
