nchighcountrywx
WeatherStar 4000 Emulator for Windows Maybe everyone already knows this, but you can download an emulator that is configurable for your local area and preferences for the old (But Better !) Weather Channel Weatherstar 4000 Local Weather Segment. It is completely configurable down to the background music and the scrolls. When severe weather warnings are issued for your area, they will scroll the bottom of the screen after first scrolling vertically on your screen in a red background. I downloaded it and set it up last night, however, there is a current pending bug to be fixed in that the local forecasts were hard coded and the NWS recently changed their server addresses. Until this is fixed, it will not allow you to properly validate and save your own custom configuration. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. Enjoy: Sample done by someone else on the Net: Download the Software, Sample Config Files and Manual: http://www.taiganet.com/about Information you will need to configure: http://www.aprs-is.net/WX/NWSZones.aspx MSFT XNA Framework must be installed on the workstation: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20914
