LongBeachSurfFreak
It's snowing again in Rapid City,SD http://rapidcityjournal.com/webcams/rapid-city/ An insane April out there for sure! Personally I am ready for warmth... The longer its stays cool like this the longer the water takes to warm up. I have a feeling we see our first cool MDW in years on the coast. earthlight
The tail end of this week into the weekend, while not necessarily warm, looks gorgeous with highs in the lower to mid 60's and a very light west-northwest breeze.

SnoSki14
Very cool today, only 46F right now when average is 64F. Tomorrow will feel remarkably different if we get into the mid 70s. I'm glad the very warm air will hold off heading into May, we don't need 80s and higher just yet, I'll gladly enjoy some low to mid 60s and sun. We were overdue for a chilly/damp spring after the last two blowtorch springs. The writing on the wall for this was back a few weeks ago or so when models kept insisting on keeping the backdoor/marine zone close by. I honestly don't mind it too much, considering how hot things were last year. When it gets above 90, Manhattan just becomes unbearable.

Its also been pretty much average this April as well, though on the drier side. We've had 10 above normal days and 13 below. The next 4-6 should be near normal, a few above and a few below. But I think we're so used to 70s/80s and even 90s now in April that this seems even colder than usual...though I will say today is pretty ridiculous. Your point about how open the outer boroughs used to be combined with a few friends comments about how horrible the CBE's construction was to Bronx neighborhoods made that thought drift into my head As far as my methods, I have a few secret tools at my disposal.
