Well. There is something other then rain falling right now in Astoria.

I had what appeared to be graupel mix in very briefly with the rain before around 12:20pm here in Great Neck when doing errands.  I did a double take looking at my car windshield while at a red light, cause I didn't believe it with the temp around 51.

Its highly unlikely snowflakes would reach the surface with high humidity and temperatures in the low 50s.  Graupel is the most likely answer.

And wouldn't that count as a trace of snow?

It's unlikely LGA caught it, but it would be nice to set history.

Another fantabulous day out there and very california-like.   A nice reocery from fri/sat.  A bit windy but still quite nice.

Most places between 65-70 today, add on another 5 tomorrow and we have an overall nice memorial day weekend.

In Port Jefferson Village and my temp hasn't moved the past 3 hours--57. Just unrelenting mostly cloudy skies and winds. Ill take it over rain, but the satellite pic says it all--eastern half of LI and CT are losers so far today. Lets see what happens the next 6 hours of daylight.
