So bloomberg said nyc beaches will be open for swimm ing tomorrow. . Wonder if many people will go ..raining and 50s

Is that water actually clean? I know the water quality increases dramatically once you get south of the Verrazano Bridge but I'm guessing some of the beaches are north of there.

I'm in Coney Island right now and see about 2 dozen lifeguards waiting for their sub station bldg to open on the boardwalk at West 33 St. Wasn't damaged in Sandy. The water went underneath the boardwalk.

Heading up to the Dacks tonight ... looks like up to 12" forecasted for higher elevations around Lake Placid...

Went from 67 this morning to 50 now. Could pass for March or November, heck, even a mild mid winter day.

 

 

Same here from mild humid morning to raw and cool.  Luckily we get passed this after tomorrow then its off to the races later next week.

Agreed. What I also find impressive is all this cool weather we've been having since mid April has been w/o any blocking. The cold source is very strong across North America right now.
