I know the water quality increases dramatically once you get south of the Verrazano Bridge but I'm guessing some of the beaches are north of there. Wonder if many people will go ..raining and 50s I'm in Coney Island right now and see about 2 dozen lifeguards waiting for their sub station bldg to open on the boardwalk at West 33 St. Wasn't damaged in Sandy. What I also find impressive is all this cool weather we've been having since mid April has been w/o any blocking. The cold source is very strong across North America right now.
