It looks like tomorrow will a typical severe day in Northern IN and Southern MI. Start out with storms, then clouds hanging around until afternoon. I start getting phone calls and texts calling bust. Too cloudy and not very warm. Suddenly the WF blasts through, the sun comes out, it gets humid and finally the line blows through. Then I get to call and text back, saying "Ye of little faith."

It's happened more times than I can remember.

With the strong wind field and the mid-level drying expected during the day tomorrow, there's a good chance we see a fair amount of sun.

I'm surprised the storms are managing to get so far north today.

Yeah that DVN disco was asinine. Makes me almost ashamed to live in the DVN area lol.

Will be heading down into central IL or east-central IL tomorrow.

I think us folks in Champaign-Urbana are sitting pretty for tomorrow! Under a tornado watch until midnight. Wow, what a wet spring.

Yeah your area looks pretty good actually.

Many of the models are probably accurately showing a NE/SW oriented outflow/rain cooled boundary setting up somewhere over central IL tomorrow.  Wherever that ends up and where it intersects the incoming cold front is likely where we'll be.  Think that will be the best area for tornadoes.  At this point I'm thinking we'll end up somewhere in the Litchfield to Decatur area south of Springfield.  Hopefully the morning convection doesn't shove everything too far southeast, or I won't go.  Gotta be back for work Fri.

The cell west of Crawfordsville that will eventually head up towards southeastern LAF is the one I'd be watching.  Starting to get sort of a kidney bean shape to it.

Have my eyes on that one. Of course, me being on the southeast side of LAF...

Also cells that went through N IL merging with ones moving/and developing north through central IN. Kinda cool radar image.

The weather wants to participate in Grand Prix shenanigans--you know, with the ping pong sized hail and all.

Kind of an unusual looking band of elevated storms blasting through central Iowa.  Winds have gusted up to 40mph from a westerly direction, opposite of the ambient winds with that line.  The line of storms is not surface based, but the winds are making it to the ground, which is sort of unusual.

was noticing that earlier...almost totally embedded
