I actually thought Lake Michigan was warmer than that! Coolest mean in the last 5 years.

Up to 55° here, but winds are turning onshore.

not bad considering how off the charts warm it was. march and april laid the smack down on.  now if we can avoid a baby powder summer/fall maybe we can build some ice on it next winter.  Jonger might not break 20" next winter if that happens. lol j/k

Maybe will actually have relief from the heat and humidity come July still. Last year there was no relief after May.

Hovering in the mid 50s here. Lots of birds singing today.

will be able to walk from boat to boat if the river comes down.   clements fishing barge will be jam packed.   wonder how the rain and all the snow melt is going to play havoc on the river?

Hard to say...  the river is just about flood stage here..with warm days/warm nites...all the snow across WI/MN should melt very quickly (if the GFS/Euro are right)...  probably come up quick..but how far, who knows.

It's nice that this time of year all you really need is 850 temps above zero and full sunshine to hit 60.  Away from the lake breeze anyways.  What's was lacking with the previous two weeks of "fake cold" was good old radiant heating.  12 degree 850 temps are useless when you're trapped under thick clouds and rain north of the Tropic of Indiana.
