Bowme we rarely get severe or even strong garden variety storms here in October or November. Stratiform cold rain is the primary precipitation type.

Thanks, captain obvious..  I've been around these parts for 38 yrs :oldman: compared to your 22 or w/e..  Point, sarcasm, or w/e was we can have severe 12 months out of the yr.. snow, naso much.

Wow, impressive cold for you.  Im only 7 degrees colder.

Not run of the mill for sure. Normal high here for today is 64º. Midnight high of 44º, but that image tells the tale I think.

Snow/graupel mix here right now. Coming down decently. Uh...viva la winter I guess.

Our high was 60F in the early morning, but low 40s during the entire daylight. Sure we get the occasional 11:59pm low temp, but I swear it seems early morning highs outnumber late evening lows at LEAST 5-1 around here.

Have seen a few pellets and flakes here but no organized showers yet, hoping to see some.

The convergence zone is pivoting southeast over time.  There's about half an inch on the ground here.  Crazy.  It should eventually reach your location.

Hope so, will be nice to see! I was asleep during a decent snow shower on April 14th, so though we have seen flurries a few seperate times this month, havent seen snow come down good since March 25th. If it was warm, fine bring on spring...but its not, so bring on the snow!

Lake effect snow adv issued for what will be a 1-2" per hour snow band a bit later on. 3-5" on tap. Raw night!

The hits keep on coming for you. Do you have solid snow cover or is it broken up now?

A chilly 35° with a few flurries here.

Side note, the snow immediately started sticking. So much for the myth of snow not sticking after warm temps. It was 80 just 36hr ago...
