Brian5671
That's my next door neighbor. He fertilizes the crap out of his lawn and cuts it about 3-4 times a week. Unfortunately my house is set back about 1 acre from the street and once my lawn burns/gets crabgrass, it's hard to manage. you live next door to Kevin? 3-4 times a week? Christ. Sugarloaf1989
you live next door to Kevin? 3-4 times a week? Christ. He's retired and the lawn is his hobby. I find it a bit comical. Mr Torchey
They may regreat that. When? Perfect timing this year, and if this was a cool spring even though its dead nuts normal here climo wise seems like a fantastic decision?

wxmanmitch
For perspective here's the state of the maples IMBY. The first two are Norway Maples. The last is a sugar maple. The Norway maple in the 2nd photo is actually a little ahead of the pack. The first one is more representative of where most of the Norways are at this point. Quincy
To close the books on April, it looks like Windsor Locks, Conn. will finish with 10 days in a row of no rain. I wonder how long they can keep that stretch up and what the record is for most spring days in a row without rain...
powderfreak
Here is that Norway maple......pretty leafed out. Wow. Only one species and one close up of a tree so you can't really make any assumptions at all about the overall landscape, but impressive none-the-less. powderfreak
Man you are about 80-90% leafed out there. Looks almost like summer You are a riot. How could you make that assumption from one tree up close, That's like taking a picture of your neighbor's north facing snow drift to prove that you still have full snow cover. That was a hell of a dry warm season.

Quincy
No frost advisory here I don't think the growing season has officially begun in that area. Even along the coastal plain of Connecticut, I think temperatures will only support patchy frost.

Yeah I tried to specify that this one species makes it look a lot more summer-like than it is. My folks today even commented how much stuff has leafed out here....just the area I guess and as you can see...it's not like I live in a concrete jungle.
