forkyfork
Its a decent signal for 8-10 days out. It has potential to be a pretty solid rain event for someone given where the anomalies are at H5. Hard to say if its centered more down near DC or it makes it up this way at this point. Its pretty darn stagnent too all the way out to about 5/10. i see the potential for a few waves rotating around that cutoff. new england should eventually be affected

Mr Torchey
Who said there was a drought? More made up stuff on a daily basis, the fact the top 6 inches of soil is dry has nothing to do with drought conditions. lol.

Ginx snewx
The fire was reported around noon and it took nearly an hour to get to the flames about one mile into the woods after trying to access the site from several locations including Quarry Road, Fletcher Drive and Woody Hill Extension. Felled trees have hampered progress. They are using chain saws to provide better access.

dendrite
This would be a perfect scenario. CT gets 40s/50s and some much needed afternoon rains Tuesday to alleviate drought concerns while those of us doing fine with soil moisture enjoy a beautiful Spring day in the 60s to near 70F. dendrite
Good luck with your NAM on TuesdayWasn't exactly being serious by posting an 84hr NAM run. You guys should see more clouds than us in that Mon-Tue period, but I doubt it ends up that dreary for you. Maybe near 60F with some partial sun and some showers around? The EC isn't exactly warm for Tue for the region. The rest of the week definitely looks awesome though. I'm ready for some consistent 70s and 80s. wxmanmitch
Another frosty morning with a low of 28° F this morning. That's two sub 30° F mornings in a row, which is pretty impressive for late April. I think we have one more shot at a subfreezing tonight if we can radiate well, but it will be close. Average last freeze date here is between 5/1 and 5/10. Forsythia are just starting to open, particularly the bushes that are in exposed, sunny locations. A few of the Norway Maples have yellow-green flowers that are just beginning to burst out of enlarged buds, but most of them are not quite open yet.
