Friday will be an interesting day to see if low level moisture keeps temperatures in the 50's, or if MOS guidance and some other forecasts are right with 60's. Strictly looking at temperatures aloft, I think at least western sections of southern New England get stuck in the 50's.

I think we will have frost here tomorrow night with a forecast low of 35F, could be the last of the season.

last frost is in May pretty much every year since I have been alive. Farmers do not plant tomatoes at our lat until the last full moon in May. http://cdo.ncdc.noaa.gov/climatenormals/clim20supp1/states/CT.pdf

We'll we are getting close to the last frost date, so who know's. With this cold spring maybe it will snow in May.

Amherst or Btown? The valley is great this time of year. I remember some fine April days in years past while the CP struggled.

Amherst.

I recall some fairly stunning pics you took a few years ago looking south at a thunderstorm with the misty green buds on the trees.  We should be seeing the reddish brown go green pretty soon...  Really picturesque time of year in these parts.

Pretty breezy here during the pre-dawn hours.  Picked up a measley .02" overnight.  I guess this will be the last p/c of the season that shows me a snow icon.

Regardless, looks like a streak of nice dry weather is in store.  Won't help any grass seed sprout, but  might still allow some dormant patches to come to life.

40.1/40
