OceanStWx
Secretly I'm hoping for a 2008 redux, cool but lots of tstms. If I have to forgo the tee time to spend my evenings here, I might as well be issuing 20 SVRs a shift.

weatherwiz
A few WTFs in this post, but how can you not wear shorts in the summer? I don't have shorts so I just wear my work pants during the week and jeans on the weekend. Also, I never had shorts b/c when I was younger and used to play pick-up baseball games in the summer I didn't like wearing shorts b/c of sliding and diving and I'm also afraid of bees so the less skin uncovered the less chance of getting stung. Sugarloaf1989
I'm doing the winter clean-up in my backyard and it's a nice day outside with the temp at 45F. High temp's here this week so far this week for the period of monday - saturday have been 55, 58, 63, 56, 68, 62. Near normal overall.
OceanStWx
Duluth 41.7" of snow this month. 27" OTG. I'll remember this when it's 41 at sunset tomorrow night and we're only on our 8th hole. It could be much worse. If I was at DLH I think I would've backed my car into a snow drift and allowed it to slowly fill with exhaust by this point. ORH_wxman
If any of you have a minute of free time, check out the climo sites on the NWS pages in places like Duluth, Fargo..etc. Just look at those departures and snowfall. Grand Forks hasn't hit 50F yet this year. Today breaks the old record from 1904. Fargo already smashed their old record from April 17th, 1881. Neither are expected to hit 50F at least through the next several days. Perhaps by next weekend they will finally hit 50F. Grand Forks has also not been above 40F yet all year. They hit exactly 40F on January 10th for their warmest reading of 2013.
joey2002
Minneapolis dropped to 21 yesterday morning and smashed their old record low of 26 degrees set in 1888. MSP has only recorded 6 above average days in the past 6 weeks, lol.
Ginx snewx
If we run a dry stretch here of 4-5 days and no green up will run a elevated brush fire risk.long ride into IJD today, lots of green up going on quickly. Marshes are wet. Severe Brush fire risk is dropping daily. Could be some but the very high risk days have passed down here.
weatherMA
OT but is there anyway to access yearly mean annual temps for certain climo stations, as well as snowfall? I know you can get the data from NCDC but are the yearly means not accessible unless you calculate them?

I know you can get the data from NCDC but are the yearly means not accessible unless you calculate them? A quick and easy way is to go to the NOWdata tab for each NWSFO climo page. Choose monthly avg/totals, your variable, and then 1981-2010.

dendrite
Max of 48.8F today despite 100% sun. Warmth fail, but it wasn't too bad being outside...even with shorts. It only got chilly when the wind picked up, but slowly slackened as the ridge axis approaches.
