I see Kevin uses his Davis that runs too warm in the warm season and the one that runs too cool in the cold season. Nice job.

Kevin's 70.2 is actually pretty consistent with other temps in town.

All the Wunderground stations in Tolland were 70+, and it hit 71 here.

Best day of the spring so far even with minimal sunshine... hit 73F here at home and 69F at he office at 1,500ft.

Flash melt in progress and the river out back is roaring right now.  It looks like we just got a couple inches of rain in the last 24 hours, but its all snowmelt.  The consistent snow cover has now lifted right up to 1,500ft... anything below that is now patchy and there's not much at all below 1,000ft aside from random plow piles.

Unless NNE gets serious RA from tonight's CF, I'm guessing the high water won't do much damage except perhaps from some smaller watercourses. I've yet to hear of serious flooding on larger waterways, caused by just snowmelt, not augmented by significant rain and/or ice jams, in this part of the world. Seems to work differently in the upper midwest - upper Mississippi and Red River of the North.
