Is there a TOG with that cell....or is SVR warning probably fitting?

If TOG is the warning requirement then people sure have wasted a lot of time and money trying to increase the warning times.

Also I don't see anything suspicious looking with the storm inside the beltway right now, maybe some hail.

The NWS FFC office doesn't handle TVS or issuing Tornado Warnings in the actual Metro Atlanta area.

What are you talking about?  Who issues them then, Grand Forks North Dakota?  Anyway, very small cell now SVR warned headed right for us here in NE Gwinnett.  Rotation has been detected but nothing significant yet.

I believe he forgot the word "well" somewhere in that sentence.

Heads up mountain peeps looks like that line is moving into the mountains as we speak. Severe thunderstorm warning for Andrews NC.

Really curious to see if the Smokies are going to rip this up. So far there has been some formation out in front, but now the main line is bearing down.

Full size pine tree blocking road in Mountain Park, Ga. House with major damage! NWS never warned it! People apparently saw a tornado!

I haven't heard one single report of a tornado from any of the counties that storm went through on scanner feeds, just some sporadic straightline wind damage. And one house damaged, does not mean it was a tornado. Unless you have first hand knowledge, I would wait to bash them. Actually I see that you pasted that tweet, obviously that's directed at the guy making the tweet.

Does anyone have scans from about 15-20 minutes ago near Montgomery? It would be interesting to see what was showing up on radar when the public noticed a tornado.

This seems to be one of those cases where the public reports it without it being indicated first on the radar.

For those still wondering about central NC...nws RAH is still holding out some threats largely based on shear and those hodographs that have been present for at least the last couple of days.

BHnqN_SCUAA5DMY.jpg

As of 10pm and some change:

HOWEVER AS THE CONVECTIVE LINE
COMES INTO THE AREA BETWEEN 06 TO 12Z...BUFR SOUNDINGS ELIMINATE
THE LOW-LEVEL WARM LAYER/INVERSION AND DEVELOP 400-700 J/KG OF
INSTABILITY ACROSS THE AREA. COUPLED WITH STRONG DEEP LAYER WIND
PROFILE WITH 0-6 KM BULK SHEAR OF 40-50KTS AND 0-1 KM SRH OF 200-300
M2/S2 AS WELL AS A LARGE CYCLONICALLY CURVED HODOGRAPHS SUGGESTS
A CONTINUED THREAT FOR AN ISOLATED TORNADO AND/OR DAMAGING
THUNDERSTORM WINDS ACROSS THE AREA OVERNIGHT.
