Looking at TDWR, the storm over Roswell is close, but

I'm not sure how FFC will determine warning for it.

....uhhh maybe because it has a strong and tight velocity signature...

Why do I feel like they have put too much reliance on the indication of a TDS.

Clearly that's what they must be using, the circulation that is apparent at 4000 feet is not showing up at 1300 feet.  Seems like a dangerous game to play though, I don't know they are the experts.

The NWS FFC office doesn't handle TVS or issuing Tornado Warnings in the actual Metro Atlanta area.  There has been too many times over the past few years where a confirmed tornado is on-the-ground and they would issue a warning afterwards.  It's embarrassing how reluctant a NWS that covers a 6 million inhabitant major metropolitan area will avoid issuing the proper weather warnings for fear of ambivalence of its urbanized residents...

Not I.  It's embarrassing to have severe weather in your TV market and the FOX O&O station (FOX5 Atlanta) is airing "American Idol" like anyone cares...SMH

One of these days they will bitterly regret it because of not wanting the NWS to issue tornado warnings in the Atlanta metro.

That is an absolutely stupid statement.

Who, then, handles them?
