Below is the average temperature comparison between March 2012 and 2013 in several cities in the Midwest. Rochester, MN had a 25.3º average temperature reversal, the greatest among the cities in the chart below. 23 sites had at least a 20º difference between the two months. For sure, the positive departures of March 2012 were much more impressive, but the reversal/difference between 2012 and 2013 is pretty cool too. Negative double digit departure days in ( ). January 1 through April 3, 2012: 18 days (3 days) January 1 through April 3, 2013: 60 days (29 days) Month by month comparisons.
