I saw inches on hail in Marietta in the early 90's - late 80's I can't remember the year but it was epic. Piles of hail made it to the next day. One of those awe inspiring weather events I've experienced. I don't think I've ever mentioined it on this forum before. It was a storm that hit on a late spring- early summer night. It hailed for many minutes. It looked like a snowstorm after it was over. I would estimate a solid 2-3 inches of small marble sized hail. Incredible.

Actually found some links March 6th 1992 and it says 6 inches of hail.

Nice. I have always wanted to see something like accumulating hail here. It makes for a beautiful sight and doesnt really do a lot of damage for a small size. Everyone down here would think its snow. Someone thought snow could fall down here with a temp of 57. I about cried laughing.

I am in a pissy mood because this is the second day the water heater pipe has busted. Turned the water off again. I will drive to my mom's house in Roaring River to take a shower at 6am then drive to Wilkesboro for college at 8am.

You'll be okay.

People always post social media info for winter weather events, namely from Robert, so I don't see why it is a problem just because I am quoting someone else for nonprofit interests. A tidbit or teaser is to get someone to pay for more, I am not putting that on anyone.

I think it is okay to post about a storm or two if it has a tornado emergency on it just to track it here in our region.

Why should the rules bend now? No one is making you read my BS do something else bro and leave the few who want to have it there see it.

I'm not the one bumping a disco thread with social media posts one after another like I'm talking to myself. This sub forum used to have QUALITY discussion between hobbyists and mets before posters like you came along and fill it with hype garbage. Now it's a joke because you're a joke.

You can still have those discussions with mets just pay for their site man.

I blame the crappy winters tbh. One poster like myself can be thrown on ignore without a complete destruction of the forum. If not, that is sad bro.

I've always found if you ignore an infection it gets worse.  Get a grip.

Master forecaster strikes again.

For severe weather tonight...for the next frost/freeze...and for hurricane season. STAY TUNED.

Hey Wilkes,

Do you think you may one day reach the level of respect from wx hobbyists for weather forecasting, especially regarding tropical, that has been very hard earned by Rainstorm/jxdama over many years? I don't want this to go to your head, but I really do think you have a shot at it! Rainstorm/jxdama has about the most impressive tropical forecasting record of any wx hobbyist I know. Just being mentioned in the same sentence with Rainstorm is a great honor and is not something many wx hobbyists can say has ever occurred. Keep up the great work! You're one of the most well-liked here.

Every year my Poker Girls and I head to the beach at the height of hurricane season. We have done this for 12 years, same weekend (after Labor Day) and we have had to change coastal locations at the last minute in years pasts to avoid death and destruction. The girls rely on my weather nerdiness to make the corporate decision every year as to where and if we need to shuffle plans. Perhaps I'll pass this torch to Wilkes and if he screws it up, he has to serve as "Cabin Boy" for the duration of our trip. We have always talked of having a Cabin Boy to bring our drinks, apply sunscreen and serve as a DD to the local watering hole, I think this could work.

Stop spamming the board with your stupidity

I should be given an award for my lead time event threads on winter and severe weather.

NO.....you should be 5 posted and my trigger finger is itchy    You can take this warning however you like, but I'm telling you now to either knock it off or you will NOT like the outcome

Atlanta Metro Area pollen count today is over 8000. If 1500+ is extremely high on the scale, I think 8000 is at Nuclear Fallout levels.

I have no fear, my windows and doors are open, my kids can dust and vacuum for chores today. :pimp:

Yeah I'm debating mowing the grass when I get home.  With my allergies I may need a hazmat suit to survive.
