April 2013 General Discussion

It has been in the 70s here all afternoon, although I've mostly been inside watching The Masters.

The line of rain/storms over Iowa isn't too impressive.  It's mostly just a general area of rain.  The air is pretty dry around here.

38F now here...did have a break in the rain//not going to last long

Snow is still covering everything that isn't concrete/blacktop.

Hr short of 6 days straight of temps 40 degrees or below.  Gotta be close to some sorta arpil record..  warm front fail all day good thing the party is indoors..  east winds of the lake are pretty brutal downtown.. nail coffin smokers are bitching after they come back inside from their smoke.

Snow is ripping up in Ashland  I heard.  Can't wait for the 60 tomorrow. 12z  GFS looks pretty nice after next weekend

50s are within 10 miles of my location now. Warm front is really trying hard to push the marine air mass back over the lake.

Going to be a one soaker of week! Pond is still overflowing from last week's rain. Lot of standing water around elsewhere too.

Edit: Up to 52° now

Might have a morning high of 60 tomorrow before the rain moves in.  Then it will be a tie for second latest 60 degree temperature on record.  If the rain moves in early and we don't see any morning sun it might not make it to 60.  Then we might not hit 60 until the 18th which will be a record, beating the previous latest 60 degree day (April 17th, 1975).

Might as well go for the record, since it's only 4 days away!

Temperature is bouncing around here between 48-52°.

Boat load of moisture this week for the subforum!

I sincerely hope the snowpack up North doesn't shed away all at once in the next week or two or the Mighty Miss is going to have some major problems around here. Yikes.

Played 18 in Rockford today. Made the mistake of getting dressed based off of the forecasted high, not the current temp. Five holes in shorts at 38 degrees was a bit brutal. Skies cleared around 11:30 and the rest of the round was played in the best weather we have had so far this season.

Looks like another week of Seattle weather, hopefully a change incoming in the long range.
