Really nice and mild out now. Sunny and 55°. Winds are calm, so I suspect the lake breeze front will hit soon.

Flood watch issued for most of WI.

When will we see our first 50 degree day at NWS Marquette?

So far this Spring, the warmest temperature at our office in Negaunee Township was 47 degrees on March 29th. Since we usually see our first 50 degree temperature around March 15th, we are already 3 weeks behind schedule. In addition, there have only been 10 years where the first 50 came in the month of April and we normally see about five 50 degree days by April 8th

Unfortunately for those ready for Spring, below normal temperatures are expected through this week as the area is in an unsettled weather pattern. Looking at the longer term, there may be a warm up for next week but it will likely only bring us back to more normal temperatures. With the expected forecast, it is doubtful that we will see 50 degrees before the 15th, which would put this year as at least the 4th latest.

Note: Weather records for the National Weather Service in Negaunee Township date back to October 1961.

Areas close to shore have already have a NE wind. The Racine lakefront is 42 degrees right now.

The lake breeze saved the game for the Brewers today lol.

A bit of convection popping up...

Doesn't look too shabby in and around Kokomo right now. Hope you get something.

I'll get missed here just to the north, with the cell in Tippecanoe County...but might get to hear a rumble or two.

EDIT: nice flash of lightning to the west just now. Spring has arrived. :D

thankfully none of that 25 degrees above avg crap up here for at least another week.

Lakes really starting to open up down here after the winds of saturday..  Lakes loaded with Loons today getting their feed bags on and waiting for the 2 feet of ice up north to melt.

Warm front gets within 10 miles of here tomorrow. Might need to take a drive south if the 70s stop where the map shows them. haha

Something tells me those temperatures are overdone up my way.  70 degree temps won't get more than one county north of the tropic of Indiana. Expect the stratus inversion to lock in tonight and have trouble budging tomorrow without a real strong low level jet arriving until late in the day, after peak heating.

Some cells rolling through southern ON producing some lightning here. First time I've seen lightning since last fall I believe. I recall hearing some rolling thunder with the rainstorm we had in late January but this is probably the first legitimate thunderstorm we've had this year.

Listening to the thunder outside and seeing flashes of lightning... god, I am so ready for summer. The rain sounds lovely as well.

You'll be warmer than I will most likely. Probably hit 65° around Grand Rapids I'm thinking.

Would be nice to get to 60° here at least tomorrow. Not counting on it though. Convection tonight could hang up the warm front further south.

Nice place to visit. Awful place to live.
