steinweather
Rain finally turning to snow in Rehoboth Beach, DE. We had about 2-3 inches 20 miles north in Milford. School cancelled. Biggest snow in 2 years. I think they have about 4 inches north toward Dover.
Younar
Light snow again in Tysons Corner after a long, drizzly lull. My office is at just about the highest point in Tysons (~430 ft and my office window is 13 floors above the ground).

usedtobe
More than you expected, no? Yes, certainly at my house though last night Jason called and after hearing what Richmond got I'm not surprised. I also haven't been paying as much attention to the weather as I normally would.
Kay
I measured 1.5 on the deck at 7:30 a.m, and think that was it for accumulating. I assume my fellow Harford Countian Phin outdid that. Great to see snow falling; I'm plenty happy with that. Nice moderate snow now with big flakes. Edit: oops, maybe Phin is in Balto. Co.
Ji
I ended up with a little over 3 inches imby. Did your contract expire with cwg?

mikes923
Looks like almost all rain now. Shoveled at 10 am, Spots with as little as 2 inches on pavement, and as much as 6-7 inches on my wooden steps. The snow practically fell off my car. 38degrees, Ellicott City. WEATHER53
That circulation in WV looks intense, that will move thru here by or after dark. Great snow effort with the temps and low pressure(s) location, I am hoping for a Snmgdn II, part II repeat later on.
snowfan
FWIW, Kevin Ambrose said there was about 1-1.5" on the Mall this morning so DCA might be legit. I suppose.....especially given the time of year and marginal temps.

snowfan
So.....should we expect anything meaninful this evening after it begins to get dark? That low looks potent, but will it fizzle as it moves east?

lpaschall
Nice snow rate again north of Westminster near Hashawa nature center. It has been light snow all day with an occasional spurt of drizzle a about an hour ago.
Younar
FWIW, Kevin Ambrose said there was about 1-1.5" on the Mall this morning so DCA might be legit. I live 2 miles SSW of DCA as the crow flies and sit at about 35' ASL ... we had 2.2 inches on cartops and wooden surfaces this morning at around 830. Driving past DCA on the parkway there was noticeably less snow than in my neighborhood. We tend to do ever so slightly better than DCA in marginal events such as this one (being a mile and a half from the water helps). I would agree that the DCA measurement is probably legit based on my own observations and (extremely) local climatology.

I literally measured 2" standing on a plank over the Potomac.....1mi ENE city of Alexandria which I assume is Old Town measured 2.2"....

Were you the reported measurement?...when I left for work at 8:15 the snow had turned to partial melty slush....I understand the public isnt going to be up all night, but what excuse does DCA have not to take a max measurment during the 6z to 12z period? PDIII
I ended up with a little over 3 inches imby. Pretty much an an anitbust imho... lwx was gun shy... and who can blame um given the winter's past debacles... but they should be held accountable.... especially since this morning there was snow cover on main roads up here in Balimore. das
Total in Clarksburg is 4.1". 3.2" thru mid morning and 0.9" when the big band moved through and dropped temps again. It accumulated everywhere except on tree branches and asphalt. ULL will be interesting this evening.
Deck Pic
held accountable for what? despite what the DCA/BWI culture says, an inch or 2 of snow on the roads at 32F isn't a national emergency. yes..nobody should be blamed for not pulling the trigger on a March 25th event on the coastal plain that had to coalesce perfectly to materialize
Herb@MAWS
Left DC 3pm -- all rain. Got outside of DC amd a few sloppy, semi-frozen raindrops mixed in. Wasn't until after Burtonsville and Skaggsville coming north up I-95 that there was an obvious greater amount of wet snow mixing in. Now in Columbia, getting more of a rain/snow mix.
