MN Transplant
Wish I could have stayed home today. I mean...I probably could have, but I'm pretty dumb. Curious to see if that backbuilding continues and we stay on the southern edge of the precip. If we do, it'll be interesting to see totals. And it's ripping snow at work in PG, so I can at least watch that. We're done accumulating now. Snow has lightened and temps are rising. Much easier to shovel than the Mar 6 concrete. Ian
His, Ellinwoods, and a string of GFS maps for the 48 hours leading up to the storm have verified best out here. DT did better than I would have initially thought. I wasn't really ruling out what happened but I wasn't expecting it either. Just shows how 90 minutes of great rates is critical in a marginal zone. There will be lots of back patting since it snowed but there were tons of people who were going way too high in the leadup at least here. But, today is a weenie day so whatever. Plus they'll all be gone soon.
swimmatte
im talking around me.. as i usually do. i dont care about your snow, sorry. DT put you in the 3"-6" right? I'd have to imagine you're getting pretty damn close to 3". Disclaimer: I can't stand DT, a wish for him to bust anytime he opens his woofing mouth (except for IMBY of course). jnis
Congratulations to all who are getting snow. Does anyone have an obs from Damascus or Mt Airy? I'm down in FLA on the gulf. Bright sunshine with low humidity, temp about 70.

needbiggerboat
And apparently the snobbier part, too . But thanks for answering my question. When are you coming by to shovel my walk? Thanks!
Swiscaster
needbiggerboat, I live near you (off Sully Park Drive) and I think we live in the better part! Looks like 3-3.5 on cartops here. Barely snowing now though.

WVclimo
4" here. I think that makes it the biggest post-March 20th storm here since 1984. Will verify that after getting some work done.

midatlanticweather
For MBY - this was the biggest system yet. Measured just about 3" on the ground. Even in the Christmas time I did not see this much here, while 5 miles away did! Same with March 6th. Great Jeb walk with the dog this AM!

ThePhotoGuy
To be honest, never thought we would get any accumulation here due to the closeness to the bay. I call this a win!

Ji
hopefully next year...we can have a real snowstorm to track with a gulf low/high pressure and temps in the 20's. Frustrating past 2 years

I hear you. But I don't think it's a fair statement to say this met in the middle of the bears and bulls. This was a win for the Bulls like they were playing with MJ. WxUSAF
Between 3.5-4" outside my office in Greenbelt. Hard to get a great measurement on the grass. Still snowing at a 1/4mi vis pace, but radar looks like it's about to end.

This was a win for the Bulls like they were playing with MJ. If that's your interpretation. I think we basically topped out potential so maybe in that sense. PDIII
It is just ripping right now in Baltimore... big flakes, reduced visibility... 4-5 inches. This would have been 8 in Feb.
