ravensrule
3.9" to be exact, just measured in 5 spots. I cannot believe I slept through our biggest storm in over 2 years . WX1man I should have listened to you and pulled an all nighter.

DDweatherman
Snow really heavy south of Baltimore into the city. 3 inches+ for many in that area. The radar presentation is impressive concerning the pivot. Heavy bands should continue to hit BWI and NE in the next 4-5 hours. 5-6 totals could be found on grassy surfaces before the coastal pulls the deform zone further NE. needbiggerboat
How'd you get the snow to stick to the ceiling? Inverted trough passed by this area. Woops.
MN Transplant
If I end up with 4" (and I think I'm almost there at home right now), it'll be the same as my March 6 total. Weird, because this seems a lot better - probably a lot to do with the fact that I didn't really even track this storm. I've topped Mar 6th and might end up with warning criteria. This is great. For locales such as Linthicum to Dundalk to Essex and Towson up to Kingsville (and around that radius as well) 4-7" is a good estimate for final totals. Sensational rates via radar there at the moment.
ravensrule
the torch is on, right on schedule. drip drip. Don't have that here yet, although im sure I am only an hour behind you. NWS just put me in a WWA a few hours ago for 1-3" and I already have 4", they have had a rough winter. As hard as this is to say all hail DT he nailed this one big time. If that does not work at least I can sled. Thanks for all your input.
mdhokie
Pouring snow just south of BWI. Best rates I've seen since the 2011 thump. Even sticking to the roads during our torch sun angle.

Did not even measure the grass, only the BB (grill cover) and deck railings and AC unit. I may have 5" on the grass here as well. Amazing.
yoda
7 to 8 inches of my total snow have come in March... impressive. 3.5 to 4 as well I believe here in West Springfield... based off what people close to me have posted and I have measured... very nice and picturesque
swimmatte
i like snow more before it's on the ground. Well just FYI, I'm sitting at 31.6 and it's been steady for the past hour, only raising .1 over that stretch.

Edit: The Science Center might think it's at 36 degrees, but I'm all of 12 blocks south of that and I'm at 32.
NoVaSnow
Measured a solid 3.5 inches, approaching 4 .image.jpg For my reference, what is your location in Centreville? I live near Stone & Braddock. I'm at work in Crystal City now, so I can't see how much is at home. When I left home at 6:15, I'd say there was 2.5 or 3.

mappy
So much whining last night and yet everyone woke up to snow. Per Fozz, there is 4" at home in Cockeysville, hard to say how much there is here in the city. But its coming down nicely. Took me about 45 mins to get to work, not too much traffic but visibility wasn't all that great. A few pics from my drive in (Along 83)

Downtown is like DCA it is a terrible place for snow, move 15 miles north and it is like a different climate.
