my concern with the WV band is that when looking at it from the PIT radar, it looks to be swinging more toward them than us

we need that d@mn 5H low to get a move on already

fookin' block

that stuff was never going to hit us head on.

The ULL not catching up the support makes it awfully hard for an efficient energy transfer to the secondary forming off of the OB.

Good. Most models take the coastal straight out to sea. We actually need the primary to hold on longer.

maybe the precip overperforms    :weenie:

well it probably did there. if you see a big area of .25" in 3 hours there's likely something in there of more. that period surrounding 12z still has potential.. my current temp sucks and its probably not going that much lower tho so i need to get demolished.

Light snow starting again. Convective-type snow popping up.

FWIW...the 12Z models indicated some mid level near zero to slightly negative theta-e lapse rates btwn 9-15Z, esp over southern MD, indicative of where the best potential elevated would be.

Now I see why south VA is expecting more snow. More energy is getting ready to demolish them as it comes over the mountains.

South VA is the sweet spot this "winter".

We're not

Richmond is in Central VA. Southern VA refers to the counties along the NC border running from Danville to Emporia.

Good luck to you DC area folks. Hope you get a little something this morning. Going with around 3" here from the surprise snow today.
