RitualOfTheTrout
Still pretty impressive radar return heading towards SWPA, probably at least some 45-50dbz in spots. Lets hope that holds up and pounds our area. Looks like the best action is still a couple of hours a way. Best be to go to sleep now and wake up later. north pgh
just walked the dog in a rain/snow mix. more rain than snow.... I think the rain/snow mix is because the precip is so light. Check out the radar and look how fast the heavier returns are filling in over Washington County and South. I am guessing that will move through here in the next several hours and that is where we will see the moderate to heavy snow that will start to accumulate. http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=PBZ&product=N0R&overlay=11101111&loop=yes

north pgh
Just measured and shoveled 4 inches. Very heavy and wet. Heavier than the 8 inches I got several weeks ago. It just about stopped so I am sure whatever we get the rest of the day will not be too much. And frankly, I am done shoveling. Too much work. Time to bring on Spring weather. BTW...I got to see it snowing heavily before I went to sleep and once waking up in the middle of the night.
RitualOfTheTrout
Measured about 51/4 - 51/2 in a variety of areas, highest was measured on a the car tops. One thing that is different than the last storm is its not warming up as quickly, its snowing lightly now and its accumulating on the sidewalks and roads still. Looks like radar is trying to fill in from the SW again, so should continue to see some light snow for awhile.
